Thu is an alumna of HCMC University of Law’s Moot Community. Her team was the champion of HCMC University in the Law Moot Tryout Competition, the first runner-up of FDI Moot Court Vietnam National Rounds, and she represented Vietnam in FDI Moot Asia-Pacific Regional Rounds in Seoul, Korea. In 2018, she received a scholarship from the American Chamber of Commerce in HCMC.

Thu joined Russin & Vecchi in 2019, first as an intern, and now as an associate. She has a strong research background and has experience working with Government authorities on both administrative and criminal matters. Her practice focuses on foreign investment, M&A, and corporate compliance. Thu has conducted comprehensive due diligence across various industries and provides counsel on taxation and employment matters.

  • Advised Truong Phat, a provider of logistics and materials handling equipment, on multiple restructuring projects.
  • Assisted Associated British Foods, a multinational food processing and retailing company, in operational corporate compliance and regulatory matters;
  • Advised a multinational enterprise on employment matters in Vietnam, including the implementation of its Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), and assessed permanent establishment (PE) risks related to the secondment of foreign employees to Vietnam.
  • Assisted an international beverage company in a police investigation into employee embezzlement, resulting in the criminal’s conviction and subsequent sentencing.
