Zhen is primarily involved in our foreign direct investment and corporate commercial, mergers and acquisition, employment and real estate practice.

Zhen brings with her a wealth of experience, having practiced in one of the largest law firms in Malaysia before transferring to the firm’s Vietnam office, where she spent five years as a registered foreign lawyer. She advised domestic and multinational clients on complex corporate and commercial transactions across diverse sectors, including education, manufacturing, healthcare, FMCG, real estate, telecommunications, waste treatment and renewable energy. Her broad industry experience allows her to provide well-rounded legal insights and tailored solutions to clients across various markets.

Most recently, Zhen also served at a Hong Kong-based private investment firm, where she led the legal and compliance team, and was part of the deal team structuring investments into tech start-ups. Her strategic expertise in this space is invaluable to our start-ups and venture capital and regulatory compliance practice.

Fluent in Mandarin, Zhen has also been working closely with our extensive Chinese-speaking clientele and further strengthen our China desk practice.

• Advised the logistics arm of China Merchant Group on matters in relation to its existing investment in Vietnam in the logistics business.
• Advising Jinko Solar, one of the largest solar cell manufacturer, on the establishment of their facility in Vietnam
• Advised Singapore based digital healthcare start up on their investment venture in Vietnam
• Advised a Hong Kong based private equity fund on its provision of convertible loan to an education technology start up in Vietnam
• Advised HongKong Land Limited, one of Asia’s leading property development group, on its joint venture in relation to a USD400 million mixed use project comprising of luxury residences and commercial components in Vietnam
